In May 2020, the Catalyst established The Catalyst Cyber Accelerator, solely committed to supporting innovation in the Canadian cybersecurity ecosystem. The first of its kind in Canada, the Catalyst Cyber Accelerator provides growth strategies, mentorship and resources to support the most promising cybersecurity scale-ups and help them succeed nationally and internationally. The success of the program is driven by the expertise and support of our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence in addition to our Corporates-in-Residence which comprises of companies such as - AWS, Microsoft, Sunlife, Torys, Rogers, RBC and other.

Cybersecurity For All

The Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst was announced in Fall 2018. This important initiative will empower Canadians and Canadian businesses to take full advantage of the opportunities, and tackle the serious challenges, of cybersecurity, through training and certification; commercial acceleration and support for cyber scale-ups; applied research and development; and public education. The Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst is driven by strong partnerships with industry leaders in Brampton, and across Canada. The Catalyst's collaborations with governments and public agencies focuses on ensuring Canada's economic security and global competitiveness in cybersecurity.

Venture for Canada is a national charity that fosters entrepreneurial skills and mindset in young Canadians. To be entrepreneurial is to act upon opportunities to create value for others. We recruit, train, and support young people to work for innovative Canadian small businesses and startups. Through our programs, participants develop the network, knowledge, and entrepreneurial skills to have more impactful careers. The resourcefulness of Canadians is essential to overcoming our country’s greatest challenges. The Forge is a business incubator funded by McMaster University, serving novel and scalable startups in the Hamilton, Greater Toronto and Niagara Regions. Launched in 2015, we work hands-on with entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas from ideation and validation to growth. The Forge is sector agnostic and offers cohort-based programming. So far 250 companies have been through The Forge Business Incubator program;together they have raised over $40M and are selling products in 50 countries.
